Statistics show that most people only commit to a workout program for 3 full weeks. After 3 weeks, most people get side tracked and somehow allow other things to come in between them and their workouts.
Today's post is designed to help you to either keep pushing play or to start pushing play again.
I don't know where you are in regards to your workout program or your workout goals. But I do know that no matter what happens in your day to day life, pushing play is absolutely vital to your …

Physical fitness plays an important role in a person’s overall health. Unfortunately, many people do not exercise and most are not fit. Have you started a workout program and haven't seen results yet? If so, don't fret! I have a little secret to tell you.
The biggest mistake almost every dieter makes, when beginning their weight loss journey, is setting unrealistic weight loss goals. We set goals that are ridiculous and are almost impossible to reach.
The weight loss industry has programmed us to believe that if we're not losing at least 3lbs per week, then we're doing something wrong. We're suppose to drop the pounds easily and quickly, with no effort and no …

Will I bulk up? Will lifting weights make me look manly? or Is lifting weights as beneficial to a woman, as it is to a man?
Let me tell you, these are great questions. These are questions that allot of women have. As a matter of a fact, I had the same question for years, until I was introduced to the new revolutionary workout program called P90X.

I started my morning off with a great 4o min run on the treadmill. I actually walked the first seven minutes and ran for 33 minutes straight. At the 15 minute mark, I cranked up the incline, as far as it could go, and ran a fairly decent pace.
I felt great! And was absolutely exhausted by the end of the run.
What I realized today was that it’s important to push yourself a little further than your comfort level.
If you’re exercising and don’t feel really uncomfortable, then you’re not pushing yourself.
You …

It’s very realistic.
Because I’ve seen many accounts of that happening. And it can happen even faster to tell you the truth.
There are several reasons:
The main one is that they more than likely lose five pounds and then they hit a plateau. The weight seems to stop dropping of their body. And for someone who doesn’t have experience this will cause enough frustration for them to quit.
The second largest reason is that they just don’t get any results from the beginning… period. Which is easy to fix 90% of the time. …

Last summer, my husband was diagnosed with high blood pressure. It was really hard for us to believe that he could have high blood pressure, especially considering he considered himself a “high profile” athlete. But over the course of about year, his physical fitness activity had decreased(due to a spranged ankle and new baby), and his bad eating habits had increased.
Well within a short period of 12 months, his blood pressure began to slowly increase. After a few months passed by, I figured I should do a little research on exactly what …

Yesterday, I received a disturbing phone call, at work, from my best friend. She explained to me that her 6 month old baby was diagnosed with metopic sysnotosis and that he will undergo bone/skull surgery to repair the suture in his skull. This surgery is 4 hours long and he will be in the hospital for about 5 days. His recovery will take about 2 -3 months and he’ll have to wear a helmet during the entire recovery process.
I must admit, when she told me this news I was really …

I must admit, I’m extremely excited about this new healthy living campaign that Michelle Obama has launched for our children.
I think it’s an awesome idea and will raise awareness of how childhood obesity has skyrocketed throughout the United States of America.
Needless to say, I never hate healthy as a child. My sisters and I always ate items like fruity pebbles for breakfast, pizza or a hamburger for lunch, and pork chops for dinner. My mother hardly ever cooked vegetables and when she did, they always included hamhocks or bacon. So, …
