Insanity Cardio Power & Resistance is a program that you follow along with via DVD. This is a great format as it’s like having a personal trainer with you. It is much easier than trying to read a book or learn from the internet, so it makes it much easier for people to see and understand the movements that they need to make.

 

Insanity Cardio Power & Resistance is another program by Shaun T. This workout lasts for forty minutes, but you will be put through your paces during that time. Here is a rundown of what to expect from the program.

 

The warm up is the first thing that you do. This warm up is not your typical warm up though. This is done with a fierce form of intensity, which gets you ready for the main part of the workout. You will certainly be sweating following the warm up and your body will be ready for more.

 
During the actual warm up, you will be going for three rounds of intense activity. Each round is the same in terms of the exercises, but each one get increasingly faster. This is a very clever concept and way to build up your concentration and focus. You will certainly not be thinking about anything else during the warm-up.
 
The next thing that you do following the warm up is a series of stretches. This should take you under seven minutes to finish. If you have been through the other programs by Shaun T then you will know the stretches. Nothing is new here, but they are necessary to compete.
 
Ok, next is the main part of the program. Here is where things get interesting. This will last for about twenty one minutes and 30 seconds. Here is what is contained in this section:
 
You will complete three rounds of power jumps, squat kicks, side lunges and pushups. You will do the same sequence of moves for three rounds, but each round will be done faster and with more intensity. This is certainly a tough workout and will test your stamina, strength and mental fortitude, but you will feel great afterwards.
 
Each of the 3 rounds lasts for 2 minutes each. That might not sound like a lot but it will seem like a lifetime when you are performing the exercises. After this part of the program, you get a timeout for water. You need to be quick here, as you only get thirty seconds to recover.
 
Next up is another series of exercises. This is the way the program is structured. As you can see, it is structured in a very formal format but there are many exercises involved. This means that you will be working your entire body in unison. This is one of the best ways to lose fat, get fit and build strength at the same time.
 
You will soon feel the positive results of this workout if you follow it strictly and put in the required effort. 
 
As a side note, you may need to take a few breaks when you first get started with this program. That is very common and advised. Remember that this is an intense program and not something to be taken lightly. With a sensible approach you will soon have the body you dream of.
