P90x Classic vs. P90X Lean
As someone interested in getting a physique to be proud of, you have likely seen many of the top fitness programs available today. The real question is which one is best for you. Since all fitness, bodybuilding, fat loss and workout programs are not created equal, you need to know which is going to suit you best.
In other words, it comes down to the thing that works best for you.
Inside this short article, we are going to review two very powerful programs that will let you shed maximal fat and build muscle in the shortest possible time.
Let’s get started.
Firstly, you should know that both the P90X Classic and the P90X Lean are both programs that you can do at home or anywhere for that matter. For example, you might be on vacation, staying over in a hotel or visiting a friends place. No matter where you are, you can still perform these programs.
You don’t need to attend a gym, private club or spa. What’s more, these programs don’t take much of your time. You can get an incredible workout completed in well under an hour. You can then get on with your day. What could be better than that?
Ok, now that you know what they have in common, let’s look at some differences.
Firstly, let’s look at the P90x Classic. This program is organized into blocks of 4 weeks at a time. There are three weeks of high intensity training followed by one week of recovery. The recovery section of the program is not a time to rest though.
Instead, you will focus on the muscles that are often neglected by most training programs. This is a method which allows you to hit all aspects of your body and gain maximum benefit.
On top of this, the P90X program contains three levels of programs. You are expected to work out for 6 days each week as you work alongside your virtual DVD trainer. Everything is mapped out for you so it is as simple as possible. You will have the guidance of a personal trainer as you shed body fat and get lean.
Onto the P90X lean program.
This is slightly different in the exercises that are used and the major focus. Where the P90X Classic focuses on a lot of resistance exercises to build up strength and conditioning, the Lean program works to enhance your cardio (which is the best way to reduce your body fat quickly).
If you are looking to reduce your level of body fat, then this is more likely to be for you. If you want something slightly less intense then you should go for the P90X lean program as it doesn’t focus as much on the strength training aspect. However, don’t fool yourself into thinking this is any less intense – it isn’t!
Here’s what’s comprised inside this program:
You will focus more on the core conditioning. That means working your abs and lower back much more. You will also focus on the static poses, such as those seen in yoga. While these are still intense exercises, they are not on the level of the Classic program.
So the choice is yours. You might want to jump into the deep end with the P90X or focus on your cardio first with the P90X Lean program. Either way, you will certainly enjoy the results from both programs.

This was an excellent article. I am in the military currently deployed to the middle east. My base has P90X and P90 lean available. This article articulated exactly what I needed to know to decided which program is best for me.
