Should women lift weights?

Will I bulk up?  Will lifting weights make me look manly? or Is lifting weights as beneficial to a woman, as it is to a man?

Let me tell you, these are great questions.  These are questions that allot of women have.  As a matter of a fact, I had the same question for years, until I was introduced to the new revolutionary workout program called P90X.

Here is what I’ve realized:

Lifting weights is a great way to build your muscles.  Building your muscles increases your metabolism.  An increase in your metabolism burns fat and calories.

Every pound of muscle burns between 40 – 120 calories just to sustain itself.  In essence, when you add a water bottle full of muscle to your body, you’re able to burn a refrigerator full of fat.

And by following the right plan, like the P90X Lean version, you won’t bulk up, you’ll firm up!
