What is P90X?
Many people always ask me, “What is P90X?” To make it simple:
P90X is a maximum potency, powered-up version of the Power 90, created by physical fitness expert Tony Horton. P90x produces dramatic results in 90 days! It uses much of the same philosophy as Power 90, but the results are much more enhanced through this program. It was 2 years in development, and the resulting science is impressive.
Take a look at the results I’ve gotten in only 30 days of doing the program. I’ve already lost 7lbs and 3 inches off my waist:
Here are a few pictures of people who’ve completed the workout program:

Tony Horton has always used interval training in his programs, which involves bursts of intense activity alternated with periods of lower exertion and the alternation of different types of workout. The P90X program also continues his philosophy of muscle confusion, which is the thing that differentiates his programs from the regular fitness mindset.
Reaching a plateau is a common problem with a fitness program. The body often becomes adjusted or immune to a particular fitness or training routine. The effectiveness will quite often decrease and then come to a very slow level of progress or no progress at all!
Tony Horton always has extolled the benefits of changing things frequently. Changing the type of workout, changing the scheduling, and even changing the nutritional intake enhances the results you obtain. Putting it simply, Tony helps you figure out how to trick your body into a faster, more intense completion of your fitness goals. Are you interested in trimming up, bulking up, or just getting incredibly healthy and gorgeous?
The P90X program incorporates 12 workouts. There is a chest and back workout, or a classic upper-back routine. Plyometrics involves intense jumping and cardiovascular activity. Shoulder and arm work helps with strength through curling, pressing, and fly movements. Yoga helps with your relaxation, which is conducive to overall good health.
Leg and back workouts use lunges for strengthening. Kenpo is more intensive cardio work. Stretching is always involved in any quality workout program. Synergistics involve several muscle groups at one time. You can get very noticeable muscle building with chest, shoulder, and triceps along with back and biceps training.
Do you want to burn fat? Who doesn’t? You will benefit from the cardio x part of the program. In addition, rock hard abdomen muscles are on everyone’s wish list! The abs workout Tony includes will surprise you in its effectiveness.
The nutritional part of the P90X is also rotating, changing program, too. In the 90-day period, you will change your nutritional focus regarding fats, carbohydrates, and proteins to fully optimize the results. It places the nutritional focus in conjunction with the particular phase of the program. When the intense workout is going on, the nutritional needs are adjusted appropriately.
Tony Horton includes everything a person needs to meet their goals of an awesome figure or physique. There are guides, videos, and nutrition plans to get you on your way. The only thing you will need is either weights or a resistance band. You need a place to do pull-ups, of course, but that is not hard to arrange. You can hang a chin-up bar easily, and there are resources online. The P90X changes it up in just the right way to accomplish amazing results in only 90 days.
